Classes will be conducted under current DEFRA regulations.
Judging commences: Sheep and Cattle at 9.30am
Exhibitor to remove all bedding before leaving the Show field.
Trophies will be presented by the judges in the Secretary’s tent after judging.
Cups to be held for one year only.
No Grand Parade of cattle or sheep.
CATTLE must be haltered and cannot be re-shown in any other section with the exception of pairs.

No late entries accepted.
Classes may be amalgamated or split dependant on entries

SHEEP
Sheep Judge: Robin Williamson, Hamsterley, Co Durham
Native Sheep & Sheep Young Handlers: Philip Cowan, Witton le Wear, Co Durham

Entry Fee: £4 per class (young handler and pet lamb class – no entry fee)
Prize Money: Classes 15 to 26            1st £15            2nd £10           3rd £5

Prize Money: Classes 27,28,29,30     1st £10             2nd £6                  3rd £4

CATTLE TROPHIES:
Hallmark Shield: Donated by Lucyland Blondes awarded to the Overall Interbreed Champion animal in the cattle section
The Robert Brown Bowl: Donated by the late R Brown Esq awarded for the best pair of Cattle (pedigree or commercial) in the Show, the property of one owner.
The George Marley Salver: awarded to the Best Beef Animal shown in either the Pedigree, Native or Commercial classes by an exhibitor residing within a 5 miles radius of Sedgefield
Seagrave Trophy: Donated by Janies Pantry awarded to the best overall Continental animal
A Silver Challenge Cup: Donated by the late Mrs Ramsden OBE and awarded to the Best Commercial Heifer
A Perpetual Challenge Cup: Donated by E B Hopkinson Esq and awarded to the Best Commercial Steer
The Ralph Holmes Trophy: Will be awarded to the best calf.
Hays Travel Young Handlers Trophy: Will be awarded to the Champion Cattle Young Handler
The Ted Pinkney Trophy: Will be presented to the Pedigree Female Champion
The Native Champion Cup: Will be presented to the Native Cattle Champion
Sedgefield Challenge Cup: Will be presented to Overall Commercial Champion
The Interbreed Champion will receive £75 sponsored by Darlington Farmers Auction Mart
The Reserve Interbreed Champion will receive £25 sponsored by Darlington Farmers Auction Mart
The Continental Champion will receive £25 sponsored by H & H Land & Estates, Durham
The Commercial Beef Champion will receive £25 sponsored by H & H Land & Estates, Durham
The Native Champion will receive £25 sponsored by H & H Land & Estates, Durham

SHEEP TROPHIES:
A Challenge Cup kindly donated by the late W Craggs Esq awarded to the Champion Continental Sheep from classes 15 to 18.
The Frank Hedley Challenge Cup awarded to Champion Native Pure Bred Sheep from classes 25 & 26.
A Silver Salver kindly donated by the late Miss E E Brown will be awarded to the Champion British cross bred sheep from classes 19 to 21.

The George Robert Harrison Memorial Trophy will be awarded to the Champion Sheep Young Handler
Armstrong Richardson Trophy will be awarded to the Best Pet Lamb
Tinsley Challenge Cup will be awarded to The Overall Sheep Champion
