The processing of your personal data is carried out by The Show Committee on behalf of Sedgefield and District Agricultural and Horticultural Society Show.  Sedgefield Show is a not-for-profit organisation that organises and stages the annual show.


We respect your privacy and are committed to maintaining the security of your personal data.  This policy sets out the basis on which any data we collect from you that you provide to us, or that we may receive from others about you will be processed by us. It includes data that we hold electronically and in paper files. When joining the Sedgefield and District Agricultural and Horticultural Society or other similar activities which the society is involved, we may need to share your data with relevant regulatory and similar bodies.  For instance, if there is a breed society requirement for a class your details may need to be verified by them.

We will process data to deliver the services the Sedgefield and District Agricultural and Horticultural Society provides for you.

Committee members such as Section Secretaries  will use this data to communicate with you about Show matters

Committee members abide by the Sedgefield Agricultural Show data protection policies and your data will be treated confidentially

Sensitive personal data

In exceptional circumstances sensitive personal health data may be collected as part of any accident reporting on the show field.  This information may be shared with our insurance company in line with our legal and insurance obligations.  If sensitive personal information is collected we will take extra care to ensure privacy rights are protected.  Such data would only be retained for as long as the law required.
